The Med Mindset Program is a pathway mentorship program designed for high school students from the San Diego area interested in becoming physicians. There is no cost for students invited to participate in the program. Students from underrepresented and marginalized groups in medicine (including African Americans, Latinx/Hispanic, American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and mainland Puerto Ricans) and/or that may be the first in their families to attend college are especially encouraged to apply.

Space is very limited, so all students selected to participate in the Med Mindset Program MUST:
1) Be able to attend in-person or virtual educational and mentoring sessions.
2) Plan to pursue post-secondary educational opportunities (e.g., community college or 4 year college or university) after high school graduation.
3) Agree to be paired with a mentor(s) and participate in Med Mindset activities at least once a quarter.
